Dong Nai: Infrastructure Investment to Attract High-Quality Projects
Dong Nai has actively promoted selective foreign direct investment (FDI), prioritizing high-tech and modern technologies to foster sustainable development and stable growth. To achieve this goal, the province has focused on developing modern industrial park infrastructure, providing a foundation to attract high-tech enterprises. A prime example of this strategy is the Amata Bien Hoa Industrial Park, a strategic destination for high-quality FDI.
A Japanese company invested 5 million USD in the Amata Bien Hoa Industrial Park in Dong Nai, citing favorable conditions for its sign manufacturing business. Mr. Doan Nguyen Cong Doan, CEO of Daikan Vietnam Co., Ltd., stated: "The land is very solid, as our company specializes in CNC machines, and solid ground is crucial. The first benefit is that the land does not subside. Secondly, the infrastructure at Amata is excellent, with well-maintained roads, transportation, and utilities. Especially, the electricity supply is very stable, which is crucial for uninterrupted production."

Khang Thanh Packaging Company also chose Amata Bien Hoa Industrial Park for its manufacturing operations. Mr. Kibi Kyosuke, General Director of Khang Thanh Co., Ltd., said, “Amata Industrial Park has fully invested in infrastructure, with a lot of greenery, and the security here is excellent.”
In addition to its convenient location, with easy access to seaports, international airports, and other key provinces in the Southern Economic Region, Amata Bien Hoa Industrial Park spans 513 hectares and is built comprehensively with full amenities, including manufacturing plants, warehouses, services, and commercial centers. To date, the park has attracted more than 200 secondary investors, leasing nearly 348 hectares and achieving an occupancy rate of over 98%, with an investment totaling more than 3.5 billion USD.
Mrs. Somhatai Panichewa, CEO of Amata Vietnam, said: "Bien Hoa is in its final phase of expansion, with only 27 hectares left. After that, we will focus on transforming it into an eco-industrial park that protects the environment and reduces emissions. Moreover, with the upcoming Long Thanh project, we aim to create not just an eco-industrial park but also a smart industrial city model from Thailand to Vietnam."
Mr. Nguyen Quoc An, Deputy Head of the Dong Nai Industrial Parks Authority, commented: "Amata is one of the industrial parks that has attracted many investors, contributing significantly to Dong Nai's development. In particular, Amata has been chosen as one of the eco-industrial parks to attract selective investors and high-value-added, environmentally friendly projects."
In 2024, Dong Nai attracted FDI investment totaling 1.5 billion USD, a 7.8-fold increase compared to the same period in 2023 (18,495 billion VND). Moving forward, Dong Nai will continue to focus on attracting high-quality investment flows. Therefore, the preparation and investment in building solid industrial park infrastructure will not only support Dong Nai’s green transformation and attract large FDI projects but also contribute to the province’s economic growth.
